The Calligraphy Society of Ottawa

This class will explore the uncial script, written in a modern style and one in a flat​ pen angle version. As well, we play with Aidan Meehan's capital letters. There will be a project to work on, to be presented at the last class.

In this course, suitable for all levels, you will learn the essentials of the script, which is a gothic script, then use it creatively in a variety of ways. Meander books, bookmarks and envelopes are planned to draw out your talents.

We will explore this quintessential Gothic script's striking letters and woven appearance, and some variations if we have time.
