Description:

In this course, suitable for all levels, you will learn the essentials of the script, which is a gothic script, then use it creatively in a variety of ways. Meander books, bookmarks and envelopes are planned to draw out your talents.

Materials List:
  • Paper (bond paper will do to start with)
  • Pencil
  • Ruler
  • Eraser
  • A broad-edged fountain pen (if you are new to calligraphy; Micheals has a Sheaffer pen with cartridges for $10)
  • A broad-edged nib in a holder, such as a Speedball C-1, C-2, or C-3 and ink or gouache if you have them, with a brush and water
  • Paper towels; baby wipes are useful too
  • A favourite saying or quote
