Materials List:

Please Note: Boldfaced items are recent additions to the materials list:

  • A fine monoline pen, such as Pigma Micron size 01 or Stædtler Pigment Liner size 01 or your favourite pointed pen

  • Keep it simple, just bring coloured pencils unless you really want to work with paint; then you will need a water jar and small brush too

  • If you cannot find everything on the list, Judy will have some extras to borrow or buy. Stædtler pens are available for $4, Pilot Parallels are available in 3.8mm (green top) and 6.0mm (blue top) for $12. Bring what you have and we will see what works.

  • A mug, lunch, and apron

  • A clean, flat smooth surface like grey cardboard or a slant board
  • Practice paper: several pages of 11”x17” photocopy bond paper
  • Pencil, eraser, sharpener and ruler
  • Black ink
  • Pen holders and broad-edged nibs: Mitchell #4 or Brause 1mm or Speedball C-5
