The Calligraphy Society of Ottawa

After our January break, we will be meeting once again, for our one and only Saturday meeting of the year. This meeting will be held via Zoom, so you can enjoy it with a tea or coffee in the comfort and safety of your own homes. We will be featuring CBBAG and OOTB member Wendy Feldberg, who makes her own ink from natural materials.

You are invited to our next meeting on December 4, 2020, at 7:30 pm, which will feature our annual holiday card swap. We would like to see your cards and hear the stories behind them, including inspiration and ideas. You will be able to enjoy your own refreshments in the comfort of your own homes.

Greg will present several techniques, mediums and tools that will make your letters shine.

Tamra Thomson will give a presentation about the architecture and artistry – including the lettering – of the dozens of World War One memorials in and around Ottawa. (Get a sneak peak at https://greatwar100reads.wordpress.com/)

Also the JOHN WHITEHEAD AWARD will be presented for volunteer service to the society.

We will also feature a GIVE-AWAY TABLE for anyone with calligraphy materials to give away.
