Whimsical Watercolour: fun tips for calligraphers

We will look at 10 quick ways to use watercolour in combination with lettering, such as backgrounds, texture effects, layering and masking.

To participate, attendees should bring:

• a calligraphy pen of their choice
• a round brush (size 4-8)
• ink

Calligraphic shorts are hot on social media. Norma Goldsmith, George Gillam and Marta Stojanovic will discuss how to use blogs, Facebook, Instagram and other forms of social media to promote and learn about calligraphy.

Please remember to bring your renewal payment for the 2017–2018 membership year, as well as any borrowed library books.
