Meeting: Annual Elections + Colour For Calligraphers

We will explore some of the uses of colour in a variety of calligraphic works. We will discuss how individuals perceive colour, and the impact of individual perception when viewing calligraphic works. We will consider how to obtain a desired effect from the colours we choose. This will be an interactive session. Please bring a notebook in which to record your observations and insights.

An abecedarium of calligraphy words wend their way from Eh to Zed ! The words of the month are your launch pad.
Beginners (or if you just don’t have time): write one or more words of the month.
Beyond beginners: Write the words in a sentence or poem, using a calligraphic hand that evokes the words or a style that suits the month’s program. You could also start a small journal in which to write your gallery work each month.
