40 Years with 26 Letters

The CSO is celebrating 40 years this year! Abecedary (abe·ce·da·ry), a full alphabet carved in stone or written in book form, was historically found in churches, monasteries and other ecclesiastical buildings. Abecedaries are generally considered to be medieval teaching aids, particularly for the illiterate. To Celebrate our 40th anniversary, we are planning to create an Abecedary poster, with individual letters designed by different members of our society. Contact Doris Wionzek at if you would like to participate.
