JUNE 2026 SWAP QUOTE - FRIDAY, JUNE 5, 2026, 7:30-9:30 p.m. City View United Church

The Swap Quote is an annual calligraphic activity taking place at the June meeting. Participants will write the quote in any style/materials they choose, bring their finished piece to the June meeting and swap for another member's artwork. Calligraphers may choose to do portions of or the entirety of the quote. The quote for this year is:

WORD OF THE MONTH – O CANADA! Write the word in your choice of style, colour and design and bring it in for the Gallery.

JOHN WHITEHEAD AWARD The John Whitehead Memorial Award is awarded each year to a CSO member for outstanding service to the Society (rather than for calligraphic skill or experience). The Calligraphy Society of Ottawa established the award in 1996 to honour the spirit and contribution of our founding president who passed away in 1995. The 2025 recipient will receive the award at the June meeting.
